About Titlis
Mount Titlis stands at 3,238 metres above sea level in the Uri Alps, overlooking the village of Engelberg in the canton of Obwalden. The Titlis Rotair is the world's first revolving cable car. It carries visitors from Engelberg at 1,050 metres to the summit station at 3,020 metres in approximately 45 minutes, rotating slowly during the final section. Hence, every passenger gets a full view of the glacier and surrounding peaks on the way up.
At the summit, visitors find year-round snow, the Titlis Cliff Walk — a suspension bridge at 3,041 metres, one of the highest pedestrian bridges in Europe — the Ice Flyer chairlift across the glacier, and the glacier cave carved into the permanent ice below the summit. On a clear day, the panoramic views take in the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau to the west, as well as dozens of other Alpine peaks across the horizon. Titlis operates year-round, subject to weather and maintenance schedules.
